Make Friday Amazing

First a bit of gratitude. After months of saving I just paid my car insurance. That's a relief. I'm thankful I got the money together in time.

So here we are on a Friday. The theme for the Zombie Nanner Gang today is Love Machine. So I need to figure out a way to make a love machine. Do I want to go with mixed media or a cartoon or what? Sometimes I know right away what I want to make but other times I have several ideas, but none I really like.

Yesterday's theme was fancy letter so I made this one: http://zombienannergang.blogspot.com/2009/08/just-finished-my-letter.html It took two hours to do that. I love cross stitch but it sure is a time suck.

I'm also working on a gourd rainstick. I got all the skewers glued in. Now I have to hook up the dremel and cut off the bits still poking out too far. Maybe I'll get to that today.

Sunday is our archery gathering in Pasadena so if I get the rainstick done in time, I can go show it off. I need to remember to put beans or stones or beads or something inside the rainstick to make the noise before I glue it shut. I'm trying to avoid things that bugs might eat. So beans are probably out. I thought about pennies. But then someone might break it just to get the money out. Oh well, I'll think of something.
